description of job
Swedium Global is assembling a team to lead the end-to-end technical design and delivery of an Android and iOS SDK and reference mobile app for enabling resilient payments. You will own the SDK's and reference mobile app’s technical design, mobile architecture, backend integration patterns, and ensure performance, scalability, and security-by-design principles across the full stack.
Responsibilities:
•Lead the technical design of the SDK, including mobile architecture, modular component design, and backend integration patterns.
•Define and drive performance and scalability strategies for the SDK and related mobile apps.
•Enforce security-by-design principles across all phases of development, including threat modelling, secure coding practices, and security verification.
•Collaborate closely with Ericsson’s product manager, product owner, software architect, and security specialist. •Provide technical leadership to a team of Full Stack Developers, mentor engineers, review code, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
•Oversee integration of proximity communication technologies (NFC, Bluetooth, QR), secure element/TEE usage, and resilient payment flows within the SDK.
•Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (OWASP MASVS, PCI, PSD2, EMV, GDPR) in the SDK design and implementation.
•Establish and oversee robust testing strategies (unit, integration, performance, security testing, static/dynamic analysis, penetration testing).
•Produce clear architecture documentation, API design guidelines, sample projects, and developer-ready integration guides.
•Promote an agile delivery model with regular sprint reviews/demos every ~3 weeks and transparent progress reporting.
•Ensure high-quality developer experience with intuitive API design, comprehensive documentation, and strong support for integration.
Required Competencies:
•Proven experience as a Lead Architect or equivalent, with hands-on design ownership of mobile SDKs and backend integration.
•Native mobile development expertise (Android and iOS) with knowledge of Kotlin/Swift; optional experience with React Native or Flutter.
•Deep understanding of proximity communication technologies (NFC, Bluetooth, QR) and secure device-to-device protocols.
•Expertise in secure coding, encryption, secure storage, transaction signing, TEE/secure elements integration; proactive security assessment and threat modelling.
•Strong experience in SDK development: developer-friendly APIs, modular architectures, robust error handling, and secure controls embedded in the SDK.
•Compliance and regulatory knowledge: OWASP MASVS, PCI, PSD2, EMV, GDPR.
•Thorough testing skillset: unit, integration, performance, and comprehensive security testing (including penetration testing, static/dynamic analysis); automated test frameworks.
•Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus.
•Work part-time on-site in Karlskrona, Sweden, in close collaboration with Ericsson team members.
