Swedium Global has proudly associated with “Youth for Seva” a Social Volunteer organization based out of Bangalore (India) for a Rural livelihood project for “Empowering Women”.
Program Background:
Rural areas in Karnataka needs to focus on the below-mentioned areas :
•Agriculture
•Water Management
•Women Empowerment
•Health and Education
- There is a need to explore new and sustainable models to transform villages in the above-mentioned areas
- Many families work only for few months in Agriculture and migrate to nearby cities for work for the remaining months. This disrupts the education of their children as well.
- The woman being the most important member of the family; many women in rural areas are ready to work to earn their livelihoods. But the problem is, they have the ability but are lacking in skills.
- To bring a positive change among women, it is a must to think and act to empower them.
- With this thought, we are planning to set up a Garment industry and train rural women on the same
- Training is provided which enables to adhere to processes and also enhances professionalism and work ethics among trainees.
- Once the training gets over the same centre will be handed over to the local society to manage the units
