We are looking for a Senior Engineer with deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift to join our team as a consultant.
The ideal candidate will quickly understand our technical environment, integrate smoothly into the team, and contribute hands-on from day one.
You will play a key role in supporting, improving, and optimizing our OpenShift platform while sharing best practices and architectural insights.
Scope & Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) environments Perform day-2 operations including cluster administration, upgrades, and disaster recovery Support the team with architecture guidance, best practices, and continuous improvements Manage authentication integrations (LDAP / SSO) and OpenShift Operators Contribute to efficient onboarding and rapid knowledge transfer Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes and platform-level issues Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and platform teams to ensure stability and scalability Core Technical Expertise Required Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x)
• Expert-level knowledge of OpenShift architecture, IPI & UPI installations, upgrades, and disaster recovery
• Strong experience with day-2 operations, cluster and node administration
Deep knowledge of the OpenShift ecosystem, including:
• OpenShift Virtualization
• OpenShift GitOps (Argo CD)
• OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton)
Kubernetes
Expert understanding of Kubernetes core components (etcd, API server, scheduler, controller manager) Proven ability to troubleshoot complex workload- and cluster-level issues Advanced experience with:
• Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
• Dynamic admission controllers
• Scheduling strategies and patterns
Infrastructure as Code & Automation:
Advanced expertise with Ansible for automation, configuration management, and OpenShift deployments Strong proficiency in Terraform for provisioning cloud and on-premise infrastructure Container Ecosystem & Networking Deep experience with container runtimes (CRI-O, Docker) Expertise in image management and registries (Quay, Artifactory) Strong understanding of:
• Container networking (CNI)
• Ingress controllers and egress routing
• Service mesh technologies
Observability & Monitoring
• In-depth experience implementing and operating observability stacks at scale, including:
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• EFK / ELK Stack
Required Foundational Knowledge:
Experience: 7 years in senior-level Linux, DevOps, or SRE roles, with at least 4 years focused on Kubernetes and OpenShift Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking and IAM
Security: Strong knowledge of container and Kubernetes security best practices:
• RBAC
• Pod Security Standards
• Network Policies
• Vulnerability scanning
• Scripting: Proficiency in Bash and/or Python for automation and scripting
Location: Hybrid, majority of time on site
