Job Title : Senior System designer – Door Control Functions
Assignment Description
As a System Designer, you will use your experience to develop, define, and verify robust system designs, technical solutions, and customer oriented function behaviors. The role requires analytical and problem solving abilities, as well as an understanding of how components and systems interact on a vehicle level. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with cross functional teams and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
• Systemization and definition of functions and system behaviors within door control, locking, alarm, and related features.
• Requirement development, including decomposition across multiple abstraction layers.
• Modelling and documenting system solutions aligned with architectural guidelines.
• Contributing to safety related systemization in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.
• Participating in technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting verification and validation activities when required.
Required Competence & Experience
The ideal consultant has:
• Solid experience in advanced function and system design, systemization, and modelling.
• Strong background in requirement engineering: development, decomposition, and traceability.
• Experience working with safety critical systems and applying ISO 26262.
• Experience with relevant tools, such as Electra and Carweaver.
• Proven experience in supplier communication and technical alignment.
• MSc in Systems, Control & Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent competence gained from experience.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.
Bonus Skills
• Hardware design knowledge.
• Functional design experience.
• Understanding of use cases and user behavior.
