Role:
SAP Solution Architect & Product Owner – SAP BTP
About the assignment:
The SAP Solution Architect & Product Owner for SAP BTP is responsible for designing, governing, and driving the implementation of scalable SAP solutions leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role bridges business requirements and technical architecture while owning the product roadmap, delivery, and continuous improvement of SAP BTP-based solutions.
 
Work tasks:
· Solution Architecture
o Design end-to-end SAP solution architectures aligned with enterprise IT strategy
o Define architecture principles, integration patterns, and best practices
o Lead system landscape design including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and third-party integrations
o Ensure scalability, security, and performance of SAP solutions
o Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams
· SAP BTP Ownership
o Own and manage SAP BTP platform strategy and governance
o Define and maintain BTP services architecture (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, etc.)
o Ensure optimal usage of BTP capabilities including APIs, event-driven architecture, and extensions
o Drive innovation using SAP BTP services
· Product Ownership
o Define and manage product vision, roadmap, and backlog for SAP BTP solutions
o Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
o Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value
o Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and business teams to ensure successful delivery
o Act as the primary point of contact for BTP-related initiatives
· Integration & Development Oversight
o Oversee integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP systems
o Ensure adherence to clean core principles and extension strategies
o Guide development teams on best practices for SAP BTP development (CAP, Fiori, APIs)
· Stakeholder Management
o Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners
o Communicate architecture decisions and product updates effectively
o Facilitate workshops and solution design sessions
· Governance & Compliance
o Establish and enforce architecture governance and standards
o Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and enterprise policies
o Monitor solution performance and drive continuous improvements
 
Must-have requirements:
 
· Technical Skills
o Strong expertise in SAP architecture (S/4HANA, ECC, integrations)
o Deep knowledge of SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, API Management, Event Mesh)
o Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid architectures
o Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
o Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 and CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
· Functional & Product Skills
o Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role
o Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
o Ability to manage product backlog and roadmap effectively
