High Performance Computing System administrator

Job Title - High Performance Computing System administrator

Role and Responsibilities
These roles supports the operation of  High Performance Computing (HPC) platform and software licensing infrastructure, serving researchers and R&D departments across multiple countries. The HPC environment runs advanced simulation applications including MATLAB and ANSYS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with collaboration and teamwork abilities, are required for this position. 

Proactively supporting the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of the HPC hardware platform and services.
Identifying IT security risks, implementing mitigations, and managing the lifecycle of the HPC platform.

Installing, testing, and supporting new HPC applications such as ANSYS, COMSOL, and MATLAB, and troubleshooting service issues.
Supporting users in running and optimizing HPC applications and workloads.

Managing and optimizing the HPC software license pool, ensuring availability and compliance across the platform.

Qualifications 

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• General understanding of server hardware, data center environments, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IT security principles in server and infrastructure environments.
• Proficient with Linux system administration via command line (CLI).
• Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain operational procedures.
• Good communication skills in English 
• Desirable: Documented hands-on experience as a server, infrastructure, or HPC operator or system administrator.
