Job Title - Senior Siemens HMI Migration Engineer (Comfort to Unified Panels)

Experience

5–10+ years of experience in Industrial Automation with strong expertise in Siemens HMI and PLC technologies.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Siemens HMI Migration Engineer to support the migration of existing Siemens Comfort Panel applications to Siemens Unified Comfort Panels using TIA Portal V21.1.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience delivering HMI migration projects, including assessment of existing applications, migration planning, HMI redevelopment where required, testing, commissioning, and production support. Experience in manufacturing or process automation environments will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute migration of Siemens Comfort Panel projects to Siemens Unified Comfort Panels.
• Analyze existing HMI applications and develop migration strategies.
• Upgrade and migrate projects using Siemens TIA Portal V21/V21.1.
• Develop, configure, and modify HMI screens, alarms, trends, recipes, user management, and diagnostic functions in WinCC Unified.
• Integrate HMIs with Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs.
• Troubleshoot HMI, PLC, and communication-related issues during migration.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and system validation.
• Prepare technical documentation, migration reports, and commissioning records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery with minimal production downtime.

Mandatory Skills

• 5–10+ years of Industrial Automation experience.
• Proven hands-on experience migrating Siemens Comfort Panels to Siemens Unified Comfort Panels.
• Strong expertise in Siemens WinCC Comfort and WinCC Unified.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal V21/V21.1.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs.
• Experience in HMI development, migration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking and PLC-HMI communication.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WinCC Unified JavaScript scripting.
• Hands-on experience with alarms, trends, recipes, archives, faceplates, user management, and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of PROFINET and other industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production support.
• Exposure to manufacturing, food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, energy, or process automation industries.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
