About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical development and governance of a large-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This role combines software engineering, cloud architecture, technical governance, and hands-on platform development.

As a senior member of the team, you will define the platform's technical direction, collaborate with internal stakeholders and external Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and ensure cloud infrastructure and application code meet the highest standards of quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Core Technical Skills — Must Have

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Advanced programming skills in TypeScript and Python
• Hands-on experience building microservice-based architectures
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Eventarc
• Strong understanding of GCP networking, firewall policies, and project lifecycle management
• Experience performing code reviews and enforcing engineering standards
• Ability to create solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation-ready Jira stories
• Experience working with or providing technical direction to Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Professional proficiency in English

Core Technical Skills — Strongly Preferred

• Experience with AI-assisted software development and automated code review tools
• Knowledge of agentic workflows for engineering automation
• Experience building enterprise-scale cloud platforms or internal developer platforms
• Experience managing custom NPM packages
• Previous experience as a Technical Lead or Cloud Architect
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable cloud architectures
• Experience improving developer productivity through platform engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for the Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement scalable cloud-native platform capabilities.
• Review and approve platform code to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Maintain and enhance Terraform modules and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage GCP projects, networking, firewall configurations, and platform governance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Develop event-driven cloud solutions using Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Eventarc.
• Create technical designs, architectural documentation, and implementation-ready Jira stories.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide technical guidance to external MSPs.
• Leverage AI-based development tools to improve code quality and engineering workflows.
