About the Assignment

Join a team building a high-performance API serving static and market data for financial instruments across retail investment channels. The platform uses OpenSearch for data storage and search, supporting complex queries, ranking, and aggregations with low latency. TDD and daily releases are core practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize OpenSearch queries, indexing, aggregations, ranking, and performance.
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple external sources.
• Develop backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Implement TDD, including unit and end-to-end testing.
• Support reliable, frequent production releases.

Required Skills

• Senior backend engineering experience with data-intensive systems and search platforms.
• Node.js
• TypeScript
• OpenSearch / Elasticsearch – advanced indexing, query design, aggregations, ranking, and performance tuning.
• Experience self-hosting and operating OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters.
• TDD
• Data ingestion and reconciliation pipelines.
• Agile and continuous delivery experience.
• Strong collaboration and customer-focused mindset.

Preferred

• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, financial markets, and financial analysis.
