Functional Safety Engineer

Job Name:  Functional Safety Expert

We are seeking an Embedded C/C++ / Functional Safety Engineer to develop and integrate lower-level vehicle systems supporting braking, steering, adaptive cruise control, and other vehicle-control functionality.

You will work on automotive ECUs and ASIL-certified systems, helping expose existing vehicle capabilities through network interfaces and strengthening communication between the transmission control module (TCM), network layers, and chassis systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for automotive ECUs.
• Enable network-side access to existing vehicle functionality.
• Modify and integrate communication between TCM/network layers and chassis systems.
• Contribute to the development and integration of safety-critical vehicle-control features.
• Support functional-safety documentation, verification, validation, and testing.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and safety engineers to ensure compliance with applicable ASIL requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong experience with embedded C and/or C++. 
• Professional experience developing software for automotive embedded systems or ECUs.
• Experience with functional safety and ASIL-certified systems.
• Background developing or testing safety-critical software.
• Understanding of automotive communication networks and ECU integration.
