Job Description

Role Summary
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer with strong knowledge of electronics and electronic components to support 2nd source component investigations and verification. The role focuses on identifying and validating alternative components for existing electronic designs to reduce single-source dependency.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate potential 2nd source components for electronic designs.
• Perform component comparisons based on datasheets, specifications, and design requirements.
• Conduct detailed verification for complex components across different products and design features.
• Execute verification activities according to defined engineering processes.
• Formally document all investigations, test results, and verification conclusions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess component compatibility and risks.
• Support continuous improvement of component sourcing and verification processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of electronic components and hardware design principles.
• Experience with component datasheet analysis and technical comparisons.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new and complex technical activities.
• Structured, detail-oriented approach to documentation and verification.
• Positive, constructive, and collaborative attitude.

Preferred

• Experience in electronic component qualification or lifecycle management.
• Experience with hardware testing and design verification.
• Knowledge of component obsolescence and alternative/second-source qualification.
