Software Developer / Application Engineer – Network Control

Job Title - Software Developer 

Role Overview

We are looking for an Application Engineer for a customer in the Energy segment, to meet the increasing global demand of the customer's technology.In this role, you will contribute to developing and delivering solutions that support safe, reliable, sustainable, and cost‑effective operation of power grids around the world.

What you will do

- Work as a software developer supporting our application engineering teams in delivering systems to customers across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

- Partner with customer experts to configure applications according to their requirements.

- Design and implement efficient workflow integrations between SCADA/EMS/GMS systems and other IT/OT environments, using modern interface and integration technologies.

- Prepare, carry out, and document test plans with customers to ensure solutions meet contractual and functional requirements.

- Support customers in learning and operating EMS/GMS functions within our systems.

- Help diagnose and resolve technical issues together with our technical teams.

- Contribute your expertise to proposal and tender work to enable high‑quality, competitive bids.

What you bring

- A Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in energy systems, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

- Fundamental understanding of power generation and transmission networks.

- Basic knowledge of SCADA systems.

- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or FORTRAN.

- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel for customer work on occasions

- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills—especially in multicultural and cross‑functional environments.

- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
