Job Description

The SW Architect is responsible for designing and defining the architecture of software systems within automotive embedded environments. This role ensures that software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with system requirements and industry standards. The SW Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop software frameworks, define integration strategies, and address technical challenges. Their expertise is instrumental in delivering innovative and robust software systems that meet performance, safety, and compliance goals.

Responsibilty:

• Define and design software architectures that align with system requirements and project objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components seamlessly into system architectures.
• Develop and document software design patterns, frameworks, and best practices.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of software architectures through robust design principles.
• Perform architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Identify and address technical risks and dependencies in software development projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, in software architecture designs.
• Support system integration and validation activities to ensure alignment with architectural designs.
• Contribute to strategic decision-making on technology and tool adoption for software development.

Main SW Architect Duties:

• Create and maintain software architecture documentation, including diagrams and interface definitions.
• Define and enforce architectural standards and guidelines for software development projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and refine architectural requirements and constraints.
• Conduct technical evaluations of third-party tools, frameworks, and libraries for architectural compatibility.
• Support development teams in implementing software components based on architectural specifications.
• Participate in risk assessments to ensure robustness and reliability of software architectures.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations on software architecture to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into architectural designs where applicable.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in understanding and implementing architectural principles.

Authority:

• Approve software architecture designs and frameworks for development projects.
• Define and enforce best practices for software architecture within the organization.
• Authorize changes to architectural designs based on project needs and technical evaluations.
• Lead architectural reviews and technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Set benchmarks and performance metrics for software architecture quality and effectiveness.
• Represent the software architecture team in customer and regulatory discussions.
• Provide final approval for architectural documentation and compliance reports.
