QA Automation Tester

We are currently looking for a QA Automation tester for a long-term consulting assignment with our client in the banking sector. About the Role

QA Automation Tester

Experience Required: 6–8 years
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Tester with strong experience in Robot Framework and Python to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining automation frameworks, implementing automation best practices, and driving the transition from manual testing to an automation-first QA approach.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
• Build and enhance UI automation solutions using Playwright and Selenium.
• Define and implement QA automation strategies, standards, and processes.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve test coverage, efficiency, and release quality.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage across applications, dashboards, and data sources.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster releases.
• Manage test cases, execution, reporting, and defect tracking using tools such as Jira and QMetry.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Mentor team members on automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation for automation frameworks, test strategies, and QA processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 6–9 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework and Python.
• Experience in UI automation using Playwright and Selenium.
• Knowledge of test automation framework design and maintenance.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, QMetry, or similar test management tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
