Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QA/Test Engineer to join a technical development team working with advanced sensor and embedded technology.

This is a hands-on role where you will work across hardware and software, combining system and integration testing, test automation, troubleshooting and test environment development.

We are looking for someone who can quickly understand a complex technical system, take ownership of a test area and drive activities forward independently. You should be comfortable working close to both developers and hardware, while also being able to see the bigger system perspective.

This is not a pure software testing role. A solid background in embedded systems, hardware/software integration or similar technically complex products is important.

What you will do
- Plan, define, execute and document system and integration tests.
- Perform structured testing across hardware, firmware and software.
- Develop and maintain automated tests.
- Build, configure and improve test environments and test setups.
- Work hands-on with hardware, prototypes and sensor/electronic modules.
- Troubleshoot issues across hardware and software boundaries.
- Perform end-to-end testing across multiple system components.
- Analyse test results, identify root causes and follow up on defects.
- Work closely with development teams to improve testability and automation.
- Gather information from different technical areas and turn it into actionable test activities.
- Take ownership of test activities and drive them forward in a structured way.
- Contribute to improving test processes, tools and ways of working.

We are looking for
- Several years of experience working with embedded systems or similarly complex technical products.
- Strong experience in structured hardware/software testing.
- Experience with system, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Solid hands-on experience in test automation, preferably using Python or similar.
- Experience with Linux and communication protocols/networking.
- Experience working close to hardware, such as electronic systems, prototypes, test rigs or sensor modules.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience with CI/CD and integrating automated tests into development workflows.
- Experience working closely with software, hardware and system development teams.
- A structured approach to test planning, execution, reporting and defect follow-up.

Meritorious experience
- LiDAR or other advanced sensor technologies.
- Radar, camera or other perception systems.
- HIL/SIL testing.
- Automotive or other safety-critical systems.
- Embedded Linux.
- Python, Robot Framework or similar automation frameworks.
- CAN, Ethernet, UART, SPI, I2C or similar communication protocols.
- Experience developing test frameworks or test environments.
